When prescribed correctly by knowledgeable physicians, prescription cannabinoids and medical marijuana may be an integrated part of a patient’s recovery plan, symptom management and contribute to improving their quality of life. If you believe you would be a good candidate for prescription cannabinoids or medical marijuana, talk to your doctor about obtaining a referral to CMClinic.
Patients referred to CMClinic will first undergo an initial medical examination to assess their needs and suitability for prescription cannabinoids and medical marijuana. If deemed appropriate, the doctor will prescribe cannabinoids or medical marijuana. Our cannabinoid educators can help patients navigate the new medical marijuana regulatory system, providing advanced patient education on their prescription and advising on accessing a licensed producer that will be beneficial to them. Through regular follow up appointments, the patient along with their physicians will continue to assess the efficacy of the prescription and ensure that it is an effective part of your recovery plan.
There is no fee to see a physician at CMClinic, although we do require a referral from your family physician or specialist.
With your initial visit you will receive a consultation with a physician as well as a free introductory cannabinoid education session with one of our trained cannabinoid educators.
For your first visit, please bring the following:
- A valid health card
- A pharmacy report of all current and past medications
- If you have any additional documentation in your possession that would help the physician with your medical history, we encourage you to bring them to your appointment (for example, x-rays, CT Scans, MRI reports and letters from your specialists)
